The obvious, we speak different languages, meaning we do think different, we use language differently. Just a small idea! Except for names you do only use small letters, while in German there is a wide range of subjects being spelled with a capital letters. You only have “you” as to referring to people making everybody equal, while in German there is a formal and informal way to address people. That alone makes all the difference in how we look at our fellow men and women.
Citizen of the USA feel British, belonging to the superior people, ruling the world. As of the main conqueror of the North American Continent and the winner of the World War II. There is nobody as powerful as the US Citizens.
This inherited feeling combined with the strong believe that one is in charge of its own live, and not willing to have others interfere, makes the US Citizen a very self centered person. I am totally responsible for my life.
I will not have other people care for me, because I would then have to give away my responsibility to others and depend upon them.
Germans have had quite a different history. Embedded in a world of many differences, with other countries so close by, with so many languages just around the corner. Germans as most Europeans, have experienced a large variety of living circumstances. And in the recent history not to forget the lost of the war, and the following decades of shame over what Germans have done.
Germany simply does not have the attitude of, we are the leaders of the world or to be proud to be German.
One reason for US citizen to be so proud is, that their ancestors have stood up against the ruling people in Europe and succeeded, while the people staying back never stood up against the kings an dictators, they learned to obey, and have others rule their world.1
1( little note on behalf the US Citizen- I am talking about the white supremacy of the US Citizen. Very well knowing that the USA persist of many more people. I'll come to that later)
